We began working with Harpole Steel seven years ago when we designed their first website. But, what looked great online in 2007 starts to look a little dated by 2014. In addition to the aging aesthetics of their website, they needed more functionality and control over the site’s content than a plain html website could provide. So, we started fresh. Launched earlier this week, their new website boasts a fresh, updated look along with the built-in content management system provided by WordPress. We used custom post types to provide the client with an easy-to-maintain admin for their Portfolio section, which features their building projects. They can upload new projects with multiple images in a matter of minutes. In addition, the new website utilizes responsive web design to ensure that mobile and tablet users (now estimated at just over 50%) experience an optimized version of the website.
Here’s what John Harpole, the owner, has to say about his experience working with us on the overhaul of their website:
We hired dandelion marketing to update our existing website, which had fallen behind in look and functionality. Alli listened to our input and responded to create a product that was exactly what we needed. Summerford’s formula of presenting us with several options and then asking what we liked best from each made an intimidating process easy. Her team was wonderful to work with as we completed the content of the website – always quick to respond to questions or make any requested revisions. We are completely satisfied with the level of service that we received and thrilled to have an updated website that meets every need that we asked dandelion marketing to address. I would highly recommend dandelion marketing to any small business that is interested in creating or improving their website.
