We are excited to announce the re-launch of the KPS Group website last week. For over 50 years, KPS Group has served the Southeast region’s architecture, interior design, planning, and consulting needs from their headquarters in Birmingham and locations in Huntsville and Atlanta. Their clients include businesses and corporations, developers, institutions, governments, community organizations, non-profits, and general contractors. Their impressive portfolio of work includes Rufner Mountain Nature Center, Avondale Park, Birmingham Airport, Regions Bank Operations Center, and the newly redeveloped Pizitz Building in downtown Birmingham.
KPS’s previous website was out-of-date both in terms of design and technology, and this overhaul allowed them the opportunity to address a range of issues and create an online presence that accurately reflects the nature of this dynamic and forward-thinking company. We built the new site with a custom WordPress theme, using responsive design. This approach provides a mobile-friendly website that is easy for in-house personnel at KPS to update with project and corporate news. Other features include a parallax layout on the home page, allowing KPS to feature recent projects using gorgeous photography coupled with core messages related to their approach to architecture and the delivery of those services. We used the LinkedIn API to connect the new website with their LinkedIn feed, streamlining the update process and assuring that the site is always up to date. We also used updated the site to a secure server as a part of the website overhaul. Many of these updates provide both usability and search engine visibility improvements.
