When I saw this book recommended, I wasn’t sure if it would be interesting or entirely too inside baseball. I took a chance, and I’m so glad I did. “How to Think Like a Great Graphic Designer” by Debbie Millman suggests in its title that it offers a little something more – that is, it delves into the creative process in general through short interviews with today’s top graphic designers (20 total). And while their stories are certainly interesting, it is their thoughts and feelings on the design process that I find so valuable.
If you are in a creative field, you are guaranteed to find a nugget of interest and use in this one. What’s more, each interview stands entirely on its own and can be read in a half hour or less, so it offers the perfect break that still feels productive.
Happy Reading!
